Master Sprint Jumping for Early Levels
Understanding Sprint Jump Mechanics
Sprint jumping is your foundation for progressing through the early rooms. To sprint jump, hold down the sprint key (default: double-tap forward or hold Ctrl) while moving, then jump at the peak of your momentum. This gives you maximum horizontal distance.
Practice Technique
1. Start in Room 1 and identify the first gap you need to cross
2. Build up speed by sprinting toward the edge
3. Jump just before the edge—timing is critical; jump too early and you'll fall short, too late and you'll overshoot
4. Land with your character's feet on the block, not the edge
5. Repeat this pattern through Rooms 1–10, where most jumps are straightforward horizontal gaps
Troubleshooting
If you're consistently falling short, you may be jumping too early. Try jumping closer to the edge. If you're overshooting, reduce your sprint duration slightly. Once you feel confident with basic sprint jumps, you're ready for the varied block types and angles in the mid-level rooms.
