How to close the resource pack screen without triggering a reload

Normally, opening the resource pack screen and leaving it makes the game reload every resource, even if you touched nothing. With this mod installed, the game first checks whether you changed anything.

Steps

1. Open Options from the main menu or the pause menu.

2. Click Resource Packs.

3. Look through your packs. You can scroll, read descriptions and hover over entries without any effect on reloading.

4. When you are done, click Done or press Esc.

5. If you did not move any packs, you go straight back to the options menu or your world. There is no long loading screen.

What counts as a change

The mod looks at whether you moved resource packs around, such as enabling, disabling or reordering them. If you did, the game reloads as usual so your changes take effect. If you did not, the reload is skipped.

Tips

• If a reload happens, you probably changed something without noticing, such as moving a pack and then moving it back.
• This helps most in large modpacks, where a reload can take a long time.
