Protect Your Villagers from Zombie Meat Eaters
Create a Safe Enclosure
Zombies that eat villager meat become significantly more dangerous, so prevention is your best defense. Build your villager trading halls or breeding areas with walls at least 2 blocks high and ensure no gaps exist at ground level. Zombies will prioritize meat over chasing villagers, but only if the meat is visible and accessible.
Remove Meat Before It Becomes a Problem
When you kill villagers near your base, immediately collect any raw villager meat that drops. Don't leave it on the ground—zombies will detect it and stop to eat, gaining speed, strength, and damage resistance buffs that make them far harder to kill.
Use Lighting and Distance
Keep your villager areas well-lit to prevent zombie spawning nearby. If you're farming villager meat intentionally, do it far from your base or in a contained, zombie-proof chamber. This prevents escaped zombies from becoming empowered threats in your settlement.
Consider Mob-Proof Designs
If you're in a high-zombie area, use water channels or fall damage to kill zombies before they can reach villager meat. Alternatively, use suffocation or crushing mechanisms that don't drop meat as loot.
