How the Zombie Proof Doors Mod Works

This mod changes one specific behavior: zombies no longer target doors. In vanilla Minecraft, zombies can attack and break down wooden doors, especially on higher difficulties, which lets them reach villagers and players inside. With this mod installed, that behavior is removed entirely.

Because zombies stop targeting doors, they will not attempt to break through them at any difficulty level. This applies to the doors themselves rather than to zombies in general, so zombies still behave normally in every other way.

The practical effect is that villagers stay safe inside their homes without you needing to build extra defenses around every doorway. You do not have to replace doors with blocks, dig moats, or wall off village houses. Existing doors simply hold up against zombie attacks.

No configuration or special items are required. Install the mod and doors become resistant to zombie targeting automatically.
