Disable Zombie Horror Effects for Specific Activities
Temporarily Toggle the Shader
Most shader loaders allow you to disable shaders without uninstalling them. Access your shader menu (typically through OptiFine or Iris settings) and select "None" or "Off" to play vanilla Minecraft temporarily. This is useful when you need accurate color perception for building or resource gathering.
Use Shader Profiles
If your loader supports multiple profiles, create a second configuration with Zombie Horror disabled or with minimal effects. Switch between profiles depending on your activity:
- Exploration and combat — use full Zombie Horror settings
- Building and mining — switch to vanilla or a lighter shader
- Redstone work — disable shaders for accurate color matching
Re-enable When Ready
Switch back to Zombie Horror through the same menu. Your previous settings will be saved. This approach lets you enjoy the horror atmosphere during exploration while maintaining practical visibility for technical tasks.
