How to Transform Standard Items into Custom Fantasy Weapons

Using the Anvil to Unlock Custom Models

The resource pack transforms ordinary Minecraft items into fantasy gear through anvil renaming. This mechanic lets you apply custom 3D models without installing additional mods.

Steps:

1. Gather a standard Minecraft item (sword, axe, bow, shield, or tool)

2. Open an anvil

3. Place the item in the left slot

4. In the name field, type the exact name of the fantasy weapon you want (for example: Winter Fang, Excalibur, or Yamato)

5. Confirm the rename and take the item

6. The custom 3D model applies immediately in your inventory and when held

Finding the Correct Item Names

The pack includes over seventy custom models across multiple categories. Weapon names are typically fantasy-themed and recognizable (Crimson Codex for spellbooks, Royal Shield for shields, etc.). Experiment with iconic weapon names from fantasy media, or check item frames in your world—equipped custom gear displays its proper name in tooltips.

You can rename items multiple times to switch between different fantasy appearances.
