Make Water and Sky Look More Interesting
How LUTs Affect Water and Sky
Zenith's LUT Shaders applies color transformations to all visual elements, including water and sky. Different lookup tables will tint these features differently:
- Warm LUTs give water golden or amber hues and sunsets more orange tones
- Cool LUTs make water appear more blue or cyan and create cooler daylight
- Vintage LUTs add nostalgic or desaturated tones to both
Choosing the Right LUT for Atmosphere
Experiment with different LUTs while standing near water or during different times of day. Some LUTs enhance the contrast between day and night skies, while others maintain consistency. Try switching LUTs at sunset to see how each one renders the sky's color gradient.
If you want a specific mood—serene, dramatic, or nostalgic—test several LUTs in the same location. The water and sky changes are often the most noticeable difference between lookup tables.
