Build a Melee Combat Character
Prioritize Strength and Dexterity
To maximize melee damage output, invest skill points into Strength first. This stat increases your base melee attack damage, knockback resistance, melee critical damage, and mining speed. Follow up with Dexterity to improve attack speed and melee critical hit chance, allowing you to land more frequent hits with higher crit damage.
Balance with Constitution
Don't neglect Constitution early on. It boosts your maximum health and armor rating, keeping you alive longer during combat encounters. A dead character deals no damage, so maintain a survivable health pool as you progress.
Enhance with Focus and Luck
Once your core damage stats are solid, add points to Focus for lifesteal (healing based on damage dealt) and Luck for additional critical strike chance. These create a self-sustaining playstyle where you heal while dealing damage.
Allocate Points Regularly
Press K to open your character menu after leveling up. Spend your available skill points immediately rather than saving them—there's no penalty for early investment, and you'll feel the power increase right away.
