How to Troubleshoot Zen RPG Font Not Changing Text

Check the Obvious First

If text still looks default, confirm the pack is in the *Selected* column and that you clicked Done to trigger a reload. Then press F3 + T to reload resources manually — useful after editing pack files without restarting. If nothing changes, the pack is either not loading or being overridden.

Find What Is Overriding It

Another selected pack placed above Zen RPG Font can supply the same font files and win. Temporarily disable every other pack, leaving only Zen RPG Font selected, and reload. If the font appears now, re-enable packs one at a time, reloading between each, until the font reverts — the last pack you enabled is the conflict. Move Zen above it and test again.

Rule Out Server Packs and Corrupt Files

Servers can push a resource pack that overrides your local font on that server only. Test in a singleplayer world: if the font works there but not on a server, the server pack is responsible, and you would need to decline or disable it. Finally, verify the pack file itself — a partial download or a missing pack.mcmeta makes Minecraft skip the pack silently. Re-download the pack file and place it fresh in the resourcepacks folder, then reload with F3 + T.
