How to Combine Zen RPG Font with Other Resource Packs

Understand What Conflicts

Zen RPG Font only replaces font assets. It does not touch blocks, items, entities, particles, or sounds. That means it is safe to run alongside almost any texture pack, shader pack, or sound pack — the only real conflicts come from other packs that also replace fonts or GUI text.

Stack Packs in the Right Order

In Options → Resource Packs, the *Selected* list is a priority stack: the top entry wins when two packs provide the same file.

  • Put Zen RPG Font above any pack that changes GUI or font files, so its lettering takes effect.
  • Put it below packs that only change world textures — order does not matter for those, but keeping font packs grouped at the top makes the list easier to manage.
  • If you use a full UI overhaul pack and want its layout but Zen's lettering, place Zen above it and check that menus still render correctly.

Verify After Changes

Every time you reorder packs, click Done to reload, then open a menu and a tooltip to confirm the font applied. If a UI pack's custom buttons or backgrounds break after reordering, move Zen back below that pack and accept its font instead — layout packs sometimes bundle font files that their widgets depend on.
