Optimize Zayko Lite for Multiplayer or Large Servers

Reduce Client-Side Load

On multiplayer servers, your shader runs only on your client, but it still competes with network traffic and server rendering. In Shader Options, disable or lower shadow distance and lighting resolution to free up GPU resources.

Disable Heavy Effects

Turn off advanced lighting features like volumetric lighting or complex shadow filtering if available. Zayko Lite is already lightweight, but these tweaks help maintain stable frame rates when many players and entities are nearby.

Monitor Frame Stability

In multiplayer, frame drops often spike when loading new chunks or during player interactions. Use F3 debug screen to watch frame times. If they spike above your target, reduce shadow quality or lighting detail further.

Balance Visuals and Responsiveness

Multiplayer gameplay benefits more from consistent frame rates than maximum visual fidelity. Zayko Lite's design philosophy supports this—you can run it at lower settings and still enjoy better lighting than vanilla, while keeping your responsiveness sharp for PvP or cooperative building.
