Your Items Are Safe Mod keeps your inventory retrievable when you die without adding tombstones or custom blocks. Instead, it uses vanilla-friendly structures built from materials you were already carrying.

On death, the mod places a chest holding your inventory, an armor stand displaying your equipped gear, and a sign showing your player name. If your inventory is too large for one chest, a second chest spawns above the first.

These structures only appear if you had the required wood. A chest needs enough logs, planks, or an actual chest, while the armor stand needs a smaller amount of wood. If the materials are missing, nothing is created unless you change this in the config.

Dying in the void is handled too: the chest and armor stand spawn above your death coordinates so your items stay reachable. An optional setting adds your player head to the armor stand for easier identification.
