Organize Config Options into Logical Categories
Structuring Your Configuration Menu
YetAnotherConfigLib supports organizing options into tabs or sections, similar to Minecraft's own settings menu. This prevents overwhelming players with too many options at once.
Creating Categories
1. Identify logical groupings in your mod's features (e.g., graphics, gameplay, performance)
2. Create a separate category for each group using the builder
3. Add related options to their respective categories
4. Order categories from most-used to least-used for better UX
Layout Tips
Keep each category focused on one aspect of your mod. Avoid mixing unrelated settings in the same group. Use clear category names that immediately tell players what options they'll find inside. If you have many categories, consider whether some could be combined or if certain advanced options should be hidden by default. The clean, minimal design of YetAnotherConfigLib means even complex mods can present their settings in an organized, non-overwhelming way.
