Configuring YAML Config Mod

Editing Settings In-Game

YAML Config Mod stores mod settings in the YAML format, chosen for being readable and easy to edit by hand. Rather than digging through raw files, you can open the mod's built-in GUI to browse and change options directly. The interface is designed to be clean and intuitive, so navigating between categories and individual settings stays simple even when a modpack adds many configurable values.

The system supports a wide range of data types, so settings can hold more than just on/off toggles or plain numbers. Built-in validation checks entries as you edit them, and error handling keeps a malformed value from silently breaking your configuration. If you play on a server, changes sync automatically to connected clients, so everyone sees the same settings without manual file copying. This also means YAML Config works alongside existing modpacks, since it manages configuration rather than replacing other content.
