Getting to the Mining Dimension

The Mining Dim Portal is the single block this mod adds, and it exists to move you between your normal world and a dedicated mining dimension. Place the portal block where you want the link to sit, then interact with it to travel through.

The mining dimension is a separate world intended for resource gathering, so anything you mine there stays in your inventory when you return. Keep in mind that it is its own dimension: the terrain, light level, and mobs you meet there are not the same as the ones at your base.

Because the portal is a block rather than a structure, you can pick it up and reposition it if you want the entrance somewhere else. Build a small shelter around it on both sides if you plan to use it often, since arriving in an unlit area is the quickest way to run into trouble.
