Finding Diamonds Efficiently with XRAYVision

Prepare Your Mining Setup

Before heading underground, equip yourself with a pickaxe (iron or better), torches, and food. The XRAYVision pack will make stone transparent, so you'll see diamond ore clearly against the invisible background.

Descend to Diamond Level

Diamonds spawn most frequently between Y-level 5 and 12 in the Overworld. Dig down to this range using a staircase or shaft. Once you're at the right depth, look around—diamond ore will appear as bright blue clusters floating in the void where stone used to be.

Scan and Navigate

Walk slowly through caves and open areas, scanning in all directions. The transparent stone means you can spot diamond veins from much farther away than normal mining. When you spot a cluster, navigate toward it by digging carefully. Use torches to mark your path back.

Mine Strategically

When you reach a diamond cluster, use your pickaxe to extract the ore. Since you can now see large areas at once, you can plan efficient mining routes that hit multiple veins without excessive tunnel digging. This saves time and resources compared to traditional strip mining.
