How to Fix XPlus Autofish Not Reeling In or Recasting
Check Detection Mode
If the mod casts but never reels in, the detection method is likely wrong for your setup. In multiplayer, motion-based detection often fails because the server does not send accurate bobber movement. Open the config with the hotkey and switch to sound-based detection. This listens for the bite sound cue instead of watching the bobber, which works reliably on most servers and with most modpacks.
Check Persistent Mode and Delay
If the rod reels in but never recasts, Persistent mode may be off and the mod is waiting for a condition that never arrives. Turn Persistent mode on so it recasts on a timer regardless of bites. Also check the recast delay: if it is set very high, recasts feel like they never happen. Lower it and add a small randomness value so the timing is not identical every cycle.
Check Rods and Hotbar
MultiRod and break protection can silently stop fishing if every rod in your hotbar is broken or below the protection threshold. Look at your hotbar: if all rods are damaged, repair one or add a fresh rod. Also make sure the rod you cast is actually in the hotbar, not just in your inventory, since the mod only scans hotbar slots for switching.
