Crafting and Using the Blocks

How the Additions Work

Each block and item in Xalis Enhanced Vanilla is meant to be obtained through crafting, following the spirit of vanilla recipes. The doors use the standard door recipe shape, extended to wood types that normally lack a door. This means you can craft a door from any wood plank type the mod supports, including Crimson, Warped, and Bamboo.

The building blocks are similarly craftable. Bookshelves, Nether Brick variants, Smooth Stone, Grass, and Vines can all be made rather than found. This makes them practical for large builds where gathering the vanilla versions would be tedious.

The Banner Patterns are the decorative exception. They are added as craftable pattern items, letting you apply the Piglin, Creeper, Globe, Flower, Mojang, and Skull designs to banners through the loom. Because the mod is small, there are no new mechanics beyond crafting and placing these blocks and applying the patterns.
