Installing and Using Xali's Enchanted Books

How the Pack Works

Xali's Enchanted Books is a resource pack, not a mod. It changes the appearance of enchanted books so each enchantment gets its own distinct cover texture instead of the single vanilla book look. Because it only replaces textures, it works in any world and does not affect gameplay, enchanting mechanics, or item behavior.

Installing

Place the pack in your resource packs folder and enable it from the in-game resource pack menu, the same way as any other resource pack. No configuration is needed.

How Textures Are Chosen

The pack reads the enchantment stored on the book and selects the matching cover. Which enchantments and levels are covered depends on the pack's included textures; enchantments without a dedicated texture fall back to a default cover. This means the visual variety you see is determined entirely by what the pack ships with.
