Disable Cave Maps Across Your Server

Stop Players Seeing Underground Caves

Cave maps give players an unfair advantage by revealing hidden structures and resources. Use this data pack to block cave viewing on all player maps instantly.

Steps

1. Ensure the data pack is loaded in your world's datapacks folder

2. Open chat and run: /function xaero:fairxaero

3. All connected players will immediately lose access to cave map mode

4. The minimap will still work—only cave viewing is disabled

Make It Permanent

To enforce this rule every time someone joins:

1. Run: /function xaero:autorun/set/fairxaero

2. The restriction will now activate automatically for new players

3. Existing players keep their current settings until they rejoin

Nether Exception

If you want cave maps to work only in the Nether (for fair exploration), run /function xaero:xaerowmnetherisfair after applying fair-play mode. This preserves the cave map feature where it's less exploitable.
