Navigating Underground Caves Safely
Map Cave Networks from Above
The X-Ray pack reveals entire cave systems beneath the surface. Before descending, fly or walk above ground and study the transparent view to understand the cave layout, identifying multiple entrances and dead ends.
Identify Hazards First
Lava pools, lava falls, and deep drops are all visible through transparent blocks. Spot these dangers before you enter, allowing you to plan safe routes and bring appropriate equipment like water buckets or blocks for bridging.
Locate Resources and Spawners
Caves often contain concentrated ore deposits and spawners. Use the transparent view to mark valuable ore locations and dangerous spawner positions before you commit to exploring.
Plan Entry and Exit Routes
Knowing the cave structure helps you identify the safest way in and out. You can avoid getting lost or trapped by understanding the terrain layout beforehand. This is especially useful in complex, multi-level cave systems where navigation is difficult.
