Understand Weapon Glints and Item Effects

Glint Types Rendered by WynnIris

Wynncraft items display special visual effects when held or equipped. WynnIris renders these directly through your shader pack instead of using vanilla Minecraft glints.

Supported Glint Effects

  • Rainbow — Cycling color spectrum across the item surface
  • Glitch — Distorted, flickering visual artifact effect
  • Shadow — Dark, shadowy aura around the item
  • Aurora — Soft, aurora-like color gradients

Controlling Glint Appearance

Open Video Settings and adjust:

  • Glint Brightness — Increase to make effects more visible, decrease for subtlety
  • Tint Strength — Higher values intensify the color of Rainbow and Aurora effects; lower values desaturate them

Performance Considerations

If your frame rate drops when holding special items, lower your VFX level using /toggle vfx low or medium. This reduces the rendering complexity of glint effects while keeping them visible. Glints are fully compatible with forward-rendering shaders and should display smoothly on most systems.
