Troubleshoot Broken Emotes and Player Animations
Why Emotes Break with Shaders
Standard Iris shader loaders don't account for Wynncraft's custom player animations and emote system. WynnIris patches this gap by rendering emote data correctly through your active shader pack.
Verification Steps
1. Join the Wynncraft server with WynnIris active
2. Open your character menu or stand near other players
3. Trigger an emote (server-dependent command, typically /emote or similar)
4. Watch for smooth animation playback — emotes should display without freezing or distortion
If Emotes Still Appear Broken
1. Confirm you've removed the standard Iris mod from your mods folder
2. Verify your shader pack is forward-rendering (not deferred). Complementary and BSL are confirmed compatible
3. Open Video Settings and check that your shader is actually applied (not set to "None")
4. Try lowering your VFX level using /toggle vfx low — some shader/emote conflicts resolve at lower translucency
5. If issues persist, test with a different shader pack to isolate whether the problem is mod-specific or shader-specific
