Set Up Shaders with WynnIris for the First Time

Preparing Your Mod Folder

WynnIris replaces the standard Iris shader loader entirely. Before launching the game, ensure compatibility by removing conflicting mods.

Installation Steps

1. Locate your Minecraft mods folder

2. Remove any existing Iris mod jar files — WynnIris cannot coexist with standard Iris

3. Place the WynnIris mod jar into your mods folder

4. Launch Minecraft and join the Wynncraft server

Selecting and Applying a Shader Pack

1. Once in-game, open Options → Video Settings

2. Look for the Shader Packs option

3. Select a compatible forward-rendering shader pack (Complementary and BSL are well-tested)

4. Click Apply to enable the shader

5. The mod will automatically render Wynncraft-specific visuals like region skyboxes and weapon glints through your chosen shader

Verifying Setup

Check that you see region-specific skyboxes (Memory Mist fog, Stormy clouds, Red Lightning effects) and that player emotes animate smoothly. If effects appear broken, verify your shader pack is forward-rendering compatible.
