Customize the weather cycle and sky appearance
Access weather settings
Open the shader configuration menu and find the weather or sky section. WpyQwq's Apex Shaders cycles through ten different sky profiles automatically as in-game days pass.
Adjust cloud layers
The shader generates multiple cloud layers—large cumulus formations and thin high-altitude clouds. You can:
- Control cloud density to make skies more or less overcast
- Adjust layer height and separation for different atmospheric effects
- Modify cloud movement speed to create dynamic, shifting weather
Configure atmospheric effects
Depending on your current weather state, you can tune:
- Sky brightness and color saturation
- Fog density and color
- Storm intensity (if enabled in your preset)
Observe dimension-specific atmospheres
Note that the Nether displays heavy smoke and altered lighting, while the End features thick storms. These are automatic and cannot be disabled—they're part of the shader's design to enhance each dimension's atmosphere.
Let multiple in-game days pass to see the full weather cycle rotation.
