How to Clear or Reset Your WorldEdit Selection Display
Clearing the Selection
If the outline is still showing and you want it gone, you clear the selection itself rather than toggling the mod. The display follows whatever region is currently selected, so removing the selection removes the outline.
1. Run the WorldEdit command //sel with no arguments to clear your current selection.
2. The wireframe should disappear immediately once the server confirms the selection is cleared.
3. To start fresh, simply make a new selection with your wand or position commands, and the outline updates to the new region.
When the Outline Seems Stuck
- Make sure the command actually succeeded. If you lack permission, the selection stays and so does the outline.
- If you switched selection modes, the old shape may linger until a new selection is made. Re-select to refresh it.
- The outline only reflects the server-side selection. If the server clears your selection for any reason, the display updates to match.
Remember that clearing the selection does not undo any edits you already made. It only removes the region definition and its visual outline.
