Switch Terrain Mods Without Losing Your World

This mod lets you swap out terrain generation mods without abandoning your existing world. Instead of losing everything, you can repair and continue playing.

Workflow for Changing Terrain Mods

1. Before removing the mod: Create a backup of your world folder as extra insurance

2. Remove or disable the old terrain generation mod from your mod list

3. Add or enable your new terrain generation mod

4. Launch Minecraft and attempt to load your world

5. If the world fails to load, the Fix World Corruption button will appear

6. Click it to repair the world for the new mod setup

7. Load your world—old chunks stay intact, new areas generate with the new mod's terrain

What to Expect

Your built structures and explored regions remain unchanged. Only unmapped chunks will generate using the new terrain mod's rules. This creates a visible boundary between old and new terrain, which is normal and expected.

This approach works even when Minecraft's built-in Safe Mode fails to recover your world.
