Combine Woodlands with Other Terrain Mods

Compatibility Overview

Woodlands the Core Mod is designed to work alongside popular terrain addition mods. It uses only vanilla blocks, which means it won't conflict with mods that add new biomes or blocks.

How to Mix Mods

Install Woodlands together with terrain mods that add new biomes (like those introducing fantasy or realistic landscapes). Woodlands will enhance vanilla biomes with custom trees and ground cover, while your terrain mod adds completely new areas. This creates variety: explore standard biomes with improved aesthetics, then venture into modded biomes for entirely fresh experiences.

What to Expect

You'll see custom trees in normal forests, swamps, and plains. When you cross into modded biomes, those areas use their own generation rules. There's no overlap or competition—each mod handles its own territory.

Performance Tip

Since Woodlands uses only vanilla blocks, adding it to a modded setup has minimal performance impact. You can safely layer multiple terrain mods without worrying about lag from block conflicts.
