Optimize Your Hit Angles Using the Display
Using Distance Feedback to Improve Aim
The distance display is your primary tool for understanding your reach and hit consistency. As you engage in combat, watch how the displayed number changes based on your positioning and angle relative to your opponent.
Practice Technique
Engage in combat and pay attention to the distance values when you successfully hit. Notice which angles and approaches produce the most consistent distances. Try hitting from different positions—directly in front, at angles, and while strafing—and observe how the numbers change.
Refining Your Alignment
Aim to maintain consistent distance values across multiple hits. This indicates you've found a reliable hit angle. If your distances vary wildly, adjust your approach angle or positioning. The overlay helps you identify whether you're hitting too close, too far, or inconsistently.
Over time, you'll develop muscle memory for optimal hit angles, and the display becomes confirmation of what you've learned rather than constant guidance.
