Gear Up for Magic Combat

Wizard mobs cast spells instead of using conventional attacks, so standard armor won't fully protect you. Prioritize magic resistance and mobility over heavy plate armor. Bring a shield to block incoming spell projectiles, and consider positioning yourself behind cover like trees or terrain features.

Stock Essential Supplies

Bring plenty of healing potions—wizard mobs deal magical damage that can overwhelm you quickly. Pack blocks for building cover during fights, and bring a bow or ranged weapon to damage them from distance before they close in. Water buckets are useful for extinguishing fire spells cast by wizard zombies.

Scout Before Engaging

When you spot a group of wizard mobs, observe their behavior from a distance. Identify which ones are holding wands versus staffs, as different magical items may cast different spell types. Attack isolated wizard mobs rather than groups to avoid being overwhelmed by multiple spell attacks at once. Use terrain to your advantage—fight on high ground or near water to limit their mobility and spell effectiveness.
