Troubleshoot a Wither that's not attacking or farming

Check if the mod is working

1. Verify the mod is installed by looking for it in your mods folder or checking the mod list in-game.

2. Confirm the gamerule with /gamerule wither_cage_fix:allowBlueWitherSkulls—it should show false by default.

Common issues

Wither won't attack blocks:

• Ensure the Wither has direct line-of-sight to its target initially
• Confirm it's actually spawned and alive (check for health bar)
• Make sure blocks aren't made of bedrock or unbreakable materials

Wither resets when you leave:

• This shouldn't happen with the mod installed. Double-check the mod is loaded
• Try respawning the Wither and testing again

Blue skulls are destroying your farm:

• Set the gamerule to false: /gamerule wither_cage_fix:allowBlueWitherSkulls false
• Rebuild containment walls with stronger blocks if needed

Ensure your world was created or last played with the mod installed. Worlds created before adding the mod may need the mod applied to their save data.
