Set up a stable Wither farm without chunk loading tricks

Why the fix matters

Without this mod, Withers forget their target when chunks unload—forcing you to keep the farm chunk loaded at all times or use complex line-of-sight workarounds. This mod solves that by making Withers remember their target permanently.

Building your farm

1. Construct an enclosed arena where the Wither can spawn and attack blocks freely. Walls should be made of blocks you want to farm (like obsidian or end stone).

2. Spawn the Wither inside the arena using a spawning mechanism (soul sand + wither skeleton skulls).

3. Leave the chunk—log out, travel away, or unload it normally. The Wither will retain its target and continue attacking.

4. Return anytime to collect drops. The Wither stays focused on breaking blocks instead of resetting.

Optional: disable blue skulls

If your farm takes damage from the Wither's blue skulls (which occur during its invulnerability phase), you can disable them:

• Open your world's gamerule settings or use /gamerule wither_cage_fix:allowBlueWitherSkulls false
• This prevents unpredictable explosions and makes the farm safer and more predictable
