Keep a Wither trapped and focused on one task
The problem without the mod
Withers naturally forget their target when you leave or the chunk unloads, causing them to wander, attack randomly, or stop working entirely.
Trapping with the fix
1. Build a confined space using strong blocks (bedrock, obsidian, or reinforced structures). Leave enough room for the Wither to move and attack.
2. Spawn the Wither and let it target a specific block or structure inside the cage.
3. Leave safely—the mod ensures the Wither remembers its target even when chunks unload or you log out.
4. No line-of-sight needed—you don't have to keep the Wither visible or maintain special positioning tricks.
Design tips
- Use solid walls to contain explosions from black skulls
- Place your target blocks (the ones you want broken) in a predictable location
- Consider multiple Withers in separate cages for parallel farming
- The Wither will stay focused indefinitely, making long-term automation viable
