Troubleshoot Visual Artifacts or Unexpected Behavior
Identify the Problem
Common issues include flickering lights, strange shadows on certain blocks, water appearing too bright or dark, or foliage looking broken. Note where the problem occurs and whether it happens in specific lighting conditions.
Reset to Defaults
Start by resetting the shader to its default configuration. This eliminates custom settings as the cause. If the issue persists, the problem may be a conflict with your Minecraft version or other mods.
Adjust Specific Settings
If resetting doesn't help, try:
- Disabling advanced lighting features one at a time to isolate the culprit
- Lowering shadow quality or distance
- Toggling foliage effects off temporarily
- Checking if the issue only appears with certain block types or in specific biomes
Verify Compatibility
Ensure your Minecraft version matches what Wisp supports. Some visual glitches occur when the shader pack is outdated or incompatible with your installed mods. If problems continue after troubleshooting, consider reverting to a known stable configuration.
