How Persistence Works

Unlike manually editing options.txt, Window Size Mod automatically saves your window size preference. When you adjust the slider and close the settings menu, the mod writes your choice to the game's configuration files.

Confirm Your Settings Are Saved

Close Minecraft completely after setting your preferred window size. Relaunch the game and check that your window opens at the same dimensions you selected. If it does, your settings have been successfully saved.

Troubleshooting Persistence

If your window size resets on restart, ensure you:

• Closed the settings menu properly (don't force-quit the game)
• Are using a compatible mod version with your Minecraft installation
• Haven't manually edited conflicting configuration files

The mod handles all saving automatically—no manual file editing is required. Your preference will remain active across all future play sessions until you deliberately change it again using the in-game slider.
