How to Charge and Throw the Wind Boomerang
Controlling Your Throw Distance
The Wind Boomerang's range depends entirely on how long you hold the throw button. This mechanic lets you adapt to different combat situations without switching weapons.
Short Charge (Quick Release): Hold the throw button briefly, then release. The boomerang will arc outward in a wide curve, effective for enemies within about three blocks. This is useful in tight spaces or when you need a quick follow-up throw.
Full Charge (Maximum Hold): Press and hold the throw button until the weapon is fully charged. Release to send it nearly straight out to approximately 25 blocks away. Use this for distant targets or when you want maximum damage output.
Damage Scaling
Charging also increases damage. A short throw deals the base damage of six, while a full charge multiplies the damage up to two and a half times stronger. This means patient, fully-charged throws are significantly more powerful against tough enemies.
Pro Tip: Watch the aiming helper under your crosshair—it lights up when your trajectory will hit a block or enemy, helping you predict where the boomerang will go before you release it.
