Customize Which Wildlife Appears in Your World
Access the Settings Menu
Open the Wildwood Echoes settings by typing /worldalive in chat. This command brings up a dedicated menu where you can toggle different ambient creatures and visual effects on or off.
Toggle Wildlife Categories
Within the settings menu, you'll find options to enable or disable:
- Birds – control whether flocks appear in your biomes
- Butterflies – toggle Overworld and Nether butterfly variants
- Geckos – show or hide climbing reptiles in jungles and deserts
- Cicadas – mute or unmute their ambient sounds and visual presence
- Distant ambience – enable/disable mirages, ocean boats, and riders on the horizon
Fine-Tune Particle Density
Adjust how many particles spawn around you. Lowering particle counts reduces visual clutter and can improve performance on lower-end systems, while higher settings create a more densely populated wildlife experience.
Apply and Save
Changes apply immediately to your world. Your preferences persist across sessions, so you only need to configure settings once.
