Optimize Tab List Performance on Low-End Systems

Reduce Visual Complexity

If the wider tab list causes lag or stuttering, the mod may be rendering more player information at once. Check your configuration for options to disable player head rendering or reduce update frequency. Disabling unnecessary visual elements can improve performance without losing functionality.

Lower the Width Setting

Reduce the tab list width in the configuration file. A narrower layout renders fewer players per frame, decreasing the computational load. This is a simple way to maintain the mod's benefits while improving frame rates.

Limit Player Information Display

Some configurations allow you to hide ping indicators, player skins, or other details. Disabling these can reduce rendering overhead. You'll still see all online players—just with less visual data per entry.

Monitor Performance

After adjusting settings, rejoin your server and monitor your FPS while the tab list is open. If performance improves, your changes are working. Continue tweaking until you find the balance between visibility and smooth gameplay.
