How to Change the WI Zoom Keybind (Rebind the Zoom Key)

Why Rebind It

The default zoom key is V, but that key is also used by several other mods (voice chat, waypoints, minimaps). If pressing V does something else, or you simply prefer a key closer to your movement hand, rebinding takes a few seconds.

Steps

1. Open the game menu and go to Options → Controls → Key Binds.

2. Scroll down until you find the category for WI Zoom. Mod-added keybinds are usually listed under a separate heading near the bottom of the list.

3. Locate the zoom entry (it will be named something like *Zoom* or *WI Zoom*).

4. Click the button showing the current key, then press the key you want to use. The field updates immediately.

5. If the new key conflicts with an existing bind, the game highlights it in red. Pick a different key or clear the other bind first.

6. Click Done to save. Keybinds persist per profile, so you only do this once.

Tips

• Avoid keys used for sprinting, sneaking, or inventory so you can zoom while moving.
• If you play on multiple worlds with different modpacks, remember keybinds are stored in the options file, not per world.
• Test the new key in a safe area before relying on it in combat or while building at height.
