Switch Between Camera Control and Character Control

Toggle Between Freecam and Normal Movement

You can seamlessly switch control between your detached camera and your actual character without leaving freecam mode.

Steps

1. Press U to enable freecam

2. Set up a custom keybind in your game controls settings for switching between camera and character control

3. Press your custom keybind to transfer control to your character—your character will now move while the camera stays fixed

4. Press the keybind again to regain camera control

5. Press U to exit freecam entirely when finished

Practical Use

This feature is perfect for situations where you want to scout a location with freecam, then quickly move your character to a specific spot without restarting. You maintain full awareness of your surroundings through the camera while repositioning your body. The on-screen character position indicator helps you track where your real body is at all times, making coordination between camera and character seamless.
