How the Who Am I? Mod Displays Your Nametag
Seeing Your Own Nametag
The Who Am I? Mod is a small client-side utility that makes your own player nametag visible in places where vanilla Minecraft normally hides it. It does not add items, blocks, or commands — it only changes how your label is rendered.
Two situations are covered:
- Inventory View — your nametag appears on the Inventory screen. This keeps your identity visible while you sort items, move stacks, or craft, which is handy on servers where several players share similar skins.
Third Person View — your nametag is drawn above your character when you switch to
third-person perspective, so you can always tell which figure on screen is you.
Because the change is purely visual, it works alongside other mods and does not affect gameplay, hitboxes, or server-side behavior. If you ever want the vanilla look back, simply remove the mod.
