Exploring the New Overworld

Whimsical Wilds transforms your Overworld into scenic wilderness inspired by North American national parks. When you load a world, you'll notice taller, custom-shaped trees replacing vanilla variants, distinctive biome colors in the sky and water, and rich ground vegetation covering forest floors and fields.

Terrain is smoothed across non-ocean biomes, making travel easier and reducing surface cave openings—this means fewer mobs spawning at ground level. Each biome has its own color palette and vegetation style, from desert themes to old-growth forests.

If you want red sand, you can craft it using regular sand and iron. Explore different biomes to see how the mod reshapes each landscape with its own character and lush detail.
