What The Bucket Mod FAQ

6 questions players actually ask, answered.

What does the What The Bucket Mod fix?

It fixes a bug where certain bucket items were destroyed when used as crafting ingredients instead of leaving behind an empty Bucket. This affected newer buckets like the Powder Snow Bucket.

Which buckets are affected by this mod?

The affected buckets include the Bucket of Pufferfish, Bucket of Salmon, Bucket of Cod, Bucket of Tropical Fish, Bucket of Axolotl, Powder Snow Bucket, and Bucket of Tadpole.

What happens when you use an affected bucket as a crafting ingredient without the mod?

The bucket item is lost entirely instead of converting into an empty Bucket. With the mod installed, it correctly converts into an empty Bucket.

Do players need the mod installed to benefit on a server?

No, if the mod is installed on the server, the bug is fixed for all connecting players even if they don't have the mod themselves.

What item do affected buckets convert into with this mod?

They convert into empty Bucket items as expected.

Is this mod about adding new buckets or fixing existing behavior?

It's a bug-fix mod that ensures all affected vanilla buckets convert into empty Buckets rather than being destroyed.
