Making Spiderwebs Break Instantly When You Walk Through Them

Why Webs Still Slow You Down

By default Weaker Spiderwebs gives cobwebs a short delay before they break, so you still feel a brief tug when you pass through. If you want cobwebs to behave as if they were never there, you need to shorten that delay to its lowest setting.

Setting the Delay to Minimum

Open the mod's config file in your config folder with a text editor. Locate breakSpiderwebDelay and set it to the smallest allowed value. Save the file and restart the game so the change takes effect.

With the delay at minimum, walking into a cobweb breaks it almost immediately, so you keep your momentum instead of getting stuck. This is ideal for cave exploration, mineshaft runs, and any build where cobwebs are just an annoyance rather than a hazard.

When This Helps Most

Instant breaking shines in areas dense with cobwebs, like abandoned mineshafts and stronghold libraries, where you would otherwise stop constantly. It also helps in PvP or parkour maps where a single sticky block ruins a route. If you later want the slowdown back for balance, simply raise the value again — the setting is fully reversible and takes effect after a restart.
