How to Change the Spiderweb Break Delay in Weaker Spiderwebs

Finding the Config File

Weaker Spiderwebs stores its settings in a config file that generates the first time you launch the game with the mod installed. Look in your main Minecraft instance folder under a config directory. The file is named after the mod, so open the one matching Weaker Spiderwebs with any plain text editor.

Editing breakSpiderwebDelay

Inside the file you will find a single setting called breakSpiderwebDelay. This value is measured in milliseconds and controls how long a cobweb stays intact after you walk into it before it breaks on its own. A lower number means webs vanish almost instantly; a higher number means you stay slowed down longer, closer to vanilla behavior.

Change the number, save the file, and restart Minecraft so the new value loads. If you set it to the minimum, webs effectively break the moment you touch them. If you push it toward the maximum, you get a long, sticky delay. Values are clamped to the allowed range, so anything outside it is ignored or reset.

Testing Your Setting

Find a cobweb — mineshafts, abandoned structures, and spider spawn areas are reliable sources. Walk through it and time how long it takes to disappear. Adjust the number and repeat until the feel matches what you want for your world or server.
