Why Your Pet Isn't Teleporting With You (Troubleshooting Guide)

Common Causes

The addon works by grabbing tamed pets in a radius around you at the moment the Waystone teleport fires. If a pet is outside that radius, sitting, or not actually tamed, it gets left behind. Most reports of "it doesn't work" come down to one of these.

Fixes to Try

1. Check taming. Only mobs you have tamed count. A wild wolf or an untamed cat will never follow.

2. Un-sit the pet. If you told it to stay, it stays. Right-click to release it, then walk a couple of blocks so it follows.

3. Get closer. Stand right next to the pet before activating the stone.

4. Avoid obstacles. A pet stuck on the other side of a fence or in a hole may not register. Lead it into open ground first.

5. Check the server. Because this is a server-side addon, single-player worlds and servers both need the mod present on the side running the world. If the server does not have it, no client install will help.

6. Test with one pet. Send a single pet through first to confirm the mechanic works, then try groups.

If none of these help, try a different Waystone pair — occasionally a specific stone's chunk may not be loaded when you teleport.
