Traveling Long Distances With Multiple Pets Using Waystones
Plan Your Pet Roster
The addon lets you bring tamed pets along for free, which changes how you explore. Instead of leaving animals at a base or hauling them on leads across thousands of blocks, you can relocate an entire stable or pack through the Waystone network.
Practical Workflow
1. Build or find a Waystone at your home base and one near your destination.
2. Gather all the pets you want to move into one spot next to the origin stone. Keep them clustered — spread-out pets may fall outside the pickup radius.
3. Un-sit every pet so they are actively following or standing.
4. Activate the Waystone and choose the destination.
5. After arriving, immediately check that all pets made it. Any stragglers can be re-gathered and sent through on a second trip.
Tips for Big Moves
- Move pets in small batches rather than one giant crowd; it is easier to spot who got left behind.
- Do not activate the stone while pets are mid-jump or pathing around a corner.
- If you are relocating horses or other rideable mobs, dismount before teleporting so you and the mount both register cleanly.
- Keep a spare Waystone near any temporary camp so you can shuttle animals back and forth without long walks.
