How do I make my pets teleport with me through a Waystone?
Just activate a Waystone while your tamed pets are nearby and standing close to you. The mod handles the teleport automatically, so no lead or extra item is needed. If a pet is too far away or sitting, it may be left behind.
Do I need to put my pets on a lead for them to teleport?
No. That is the whole point of this addon: pets teleport with you without a lead. Leashing is only useful if you want to keep a pet physically attached while walking around.
Which pets actually teleport with me?
Tamed pets that follow you, such as wolves, cats, and parrots, are the intended targets. Other mobs you have tamed through other mods may or may not work depending on how they are implemented.
Why isn't my pet teleporting with me?
The most common causes are the pet being too far away, sitting down, or not actually tamed and following you. Bring the pet close, make sure it is standing and following, then use the Waystone again.
Does my pet need to be sitting or standing to teleport?
Standing and following you is the reliable state. A sitting pet is usually treated as staying put, so it will often be left behind. Make it stand up before you activate the Waystone.
How close does my pet need to be to the Waystone?
Keep your pet right next to you when you activate the Waystone. If it has wandered off or is stuck behind blocks, it may not be included in the teleport.
Can I teleport multiple pets at once?
Yes, as long as they are all tamed, following you, and gathered near you when you use the Waystone. Spread-out pets are the main reason some get left behind.
Does this mod need to be installed on the client, or only the server?
It is a server-side mod, so it only needs to be installed on the server for the pet teleport behavior to work. Players connecting to that server do not need it on their own client.
Will this mod work in singleplayer?
Yes. In singleplayer your own game acts as the server, so the mod applies there too. Just make sure your pets are tamed, following, and close by when you teleport.
Does this mod conflict with other pet or Waystone addons?
It is designed as an addon to the Waystones mod, so it should coexist with other Waystones addons. Conflicts are most likely with mods that heavily change pet following or teleport behavior, so test after adding anything new.
