Troubleshoot Missing or Glitchy Waves

If you're not seeing waves or they look distorted, follow these steps to restore them.

Quick Fixes

Reload chunks immediately:

Press F3 + A while in-game. This is the fastest solution—it forces the mod to regenerate wave data for all loaded chunks.

Check your location:

Waves only spawn in ocean and beach biomes. Travel to a coastline or open water area. Waves won't appear in rivers, lakes, or other water sources.

Verify the mod is active:

Open your mod list (usually accessible from the main menu) and confirm Wavify is loaded without errors.

If Problems Persist

• Restart your game completely
• Check that no other mods are conflicting with water rendering
• Ensure your graphics settings aren't hiding water effects (check particle and animation settings)
• Try moving far away from your current location, then returning—sometimes chunks need to fully unload and reload
