Enjoy Moonlight Glow Effects on Waves
Experience Full Moon Wave Lighting
Wavify Mod adds a special atmospheric effect: during full moon nights, ocean waves emit a soft, realistic glow. Here's how to see it.
Finding Full Moon Nights
The Minecraft moon cycles through phases over 8 in-game days. A full moon occurs roughly every 8 days. You can:
- Sleep through days until you reach a full moon night, or
- Use commands to set the time to night and check the moon phase visually
- Watch the sky at night—a full moon is noticeably bright and round
Viewing the Effect
Once a full moon appears, travel to any ocean or beach. Look at the water surface—you'll see the waves have a subtle luminescent quality that makes them stand out against the darker night sky. The glow is most visible on clear nights without rain.
Enhancing Your View
For the best experience:
- Reduce your brightness settings slightly so the glow is more noticeable
- Visit open ocean areas rather than enclosed coves
- Avoid areas with heavy cloud cover or storms
